Yes the camp is out of the way, but combine the bear hunting with awesome fishing for Pike or Walleye and you’ve got the ingredients for the best vacation you’ll take! We hunt bears in the evening when bear movement is best. We hunt over bait site and permanent stands, to ensure a quality harvest as well as comfort. Color phase is 30%. The tent camps are warm and comfortable with cots, woodstoves and hot showers. We have 1000 sq/km of hunting area with exclusive hunting rights, so you’ll never see another hunter around! There
are two ways to get to camp. Leaf Rapids is a 9.5 hour drive
from Winnipeg and we can arrange to meet there.
Or
if you choose to fly, there is a flight from Winnipeg to Thompson
and we will pick you up. As
always, these hunts are 6 day, all inclusive hunts including
food, lodging, transportation to your stand, friendly and
experienced guides, and an in-camp taxidermist to care for your
trophy. Hunting licence are an additional cost. By the way we
cater to bow and gun hunters!
We offer both spring and fall hunts. The fishing is excellent in the spring and the hides are exceptional. A fall hunt can offer heavier bears and the weather is generally more stable. We have harvested many trophy bears as well as colors too! Our success rates are high and the attention to detail is what sets us apart from the other outfitters. To date, over 50% of our bears would make the P+Y book, and 30% score over 19 inches! We have several bears to our credit over 20 inches with the largest being 21 6/16 B+C points!
